This Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec may be over 20 years old, but its performance is still deeply impressive by today's standards. With Best MOTORing's Motoharu Kurosawa at the wheel, this GT-R ran an 8:01.72 around the Nürburgring and lucky for us, Best MOTORing put the video on its YouTube channel

Kurosawa-san uses the entire width of the track to his advantage here. Watching this, you'll definitely clench at least once, but the GT-R is nearly unflappable here. Despite the fact that this GT-R is all-wheel-drive Kurosawa-san gets some impressive oversteer in some of the slower corners.

The R33 Skyline GT-R–like every GT-R before and since–used the best tech of its day to help the driver around track, but that doesn't mean Kurosawa-san doesn't have to work. He hustles.

A new GT-R Nismo would leave it in the dust on track, but we still want an R33. We in the U.S. will just have to wait until 2020.
